1985 – The 1985 Genfest is an important moment. It marks the baptism of the Movement “Youth for a United World”

The title is “Many ways to a united world”.  In the project “United World” Chiara Lubich’s “Many Ways” converge as indicated in her keynote speech: “the way of unity among generations, among different peoples, between north and south, between Christians of various denominations, among the faithful of different religions; the way of unity between the rich and the poor for a communion of goods; between places at war for peace, the way of unity also between humanity and nature; the way of development; between people of different ideologies, of different cultures, etc.”
At the event, carried out at the Palaeur Stadium of Rome, thousands of youth participate, linked up from America to Australia by telephone.
