A rose for Africa

"Saint George (or better Sant Jordi), Barcelona, is a popular and festive place. This town is named after the patron saint of Catalonia and is famous for selling books and roses.
We, the Y4UW, spent the day of 23 April to raise funds for a project to build a bridge designed by Y4UW of Man, Ivory Coast. We set up a stall in the street and managed to sell about 300 roses, showing the pictures and some information material about the reason for our action.
Despite strong competition from neighboring stalls, many people were attracted by the motivation of our sales and some even asked who we were ... Together with other young friends of ours, we tried to give a beautiful testimony of joy and giving."
