UNITED WORLD COMMUNITY

The 3rd phase of Genfest, scheduled from July 21 to 24 in Aparecida, proposes the innovative experience of United World Community. These are meeting spaces where young people can share talents and passions, aiming to address global challenges, promote personal and collective changes, and infuse fraternity into all dimensions of human life.

There are 8 routes among which participants can choose:

  1. Economy and Work
  2. Interculture and Dialogue
  3. Peace and Human Rights
  4. Health and Ecology
  5. Art and Social Commitment
  6. Education and Research
  7. Communication and Media
  8. Active Citizenship and Politics

The central objective of this phase is to create a global network of collaborators, allowing participants, upon returning to their countries, to engage locally, connected to an international community.

MEET THE UNITED WORLD COMMUNITY

Choosing is the first step to meet incredible people, actively getting involved and turn ideas into action. Let’s build a more united world together!

Today’s world has many problems, caused by an economy that sometimes excludes people and does not take care of the environment. We want a just and sustainable world where everyone can realize its potential. In our community we will explore poverty, jobs and businesses that make a difference. We want to give you the tools to become an agent of change and build a better world. Join us!

“A workshop experience of dialogue and interculturality, to rethink and build pathways for peacebuilding, humanitarian engagement, development and integral ecology. A living space where diversity in dialogue generates local and global cooperation projects. Protagonists: Young people of different beliefs and cultures, faithful and without religious reference, experts and associations (Rimarishun, CEU, Ikumeni, Religions for Peace, among others).”

Fraternity: a principle that can justify legal (and political) choices that are more respectful of human dignity. We know that, like us, there are many groups in the world working and living for this. If you are one of these people, and especially if you are also interested in the legal field and justice in general (civil, social, criminal law, etc.) this community was made for you. Here you will have the opportunity to learn about the reality of the area of law, its problems and opportunities from a hopeful perspective. The goal is for young people interested in these issues to get involved and touch the reality of work and engagement.

Humanity today faces one of the most global crises in our history. And several questions permeate our minds. If we are only passing through our host planet, how can we ensure that our steps do not hinder the next generation? How should we behave, both individually and collectively, so that the great wealth of resources and biodiversity can proliferate into the future? Here will not be the place to find the “big answers,” but the place to ask the right questions and, together, through dialogue and reflection, find good solutions. In this community, the real focus will be the relationship between people and nature. The health and well-being of people and the environment will not be presented simply as the absence of disease, but rather as an interweaving of multiple dimensions: medicine, psychology, sociology, ecology and sports.

To take advantage of the experiences and artistic talents of each individual, we aim to increase our civic leadership to transform the social spaces and relationships in which we are immersed. Taking today’s major issues as our starting point, we wish to go beyond our walls and open up to encounter the social realities of our environment and nations. Architecture, sociology and artistic expressions are just some of the fields that come into action in this community to dialogue with society and build a more just, equitable and inclusive future. And why not dare to say a truly more united world?

We are a dynamic and engaging community of people who share a passion for communication and media in all its forms. From traditional journalism to cutting-edge digital platforms, this community serves as a hub for enthusiasts, aspirants, professionals, creators and communicators. If you are eager to learn and contribute, you are more than welcome to join this community.

We want to exchange ideas, insights and experiences related to the ever-changing landscape of media and communication as living tools for building a united world. We will do this through webinars, workshops and conferences, highlighting the power of collaboration and information that respects the rights and dignity of people in the production of impacting content.

We look forward to this space, to explore, learn, collaborate and shape the future of storytelling in an increasingly interconnected and united world.

We want to share and work on the meaning of education and research, trying to reflect and answer some questions:

What is the future for education? Or, what is the education for the future? How do we address the educational crisis we are experiencing around the world? Why do research these days? How important is it? How to actually do research? How can we use what we learn to serve our communities, to help solve the world’s big problems?

These guiding questions can be answered according to different topics that surround us today, such as: bioethics; artificial intelligence – its ethical implications and its impact on the way we learn and educate; integral ecology – in our relationship with the Earth and with each other; and many other areas to discover together. Will you come with us on this discovery?

Are you interested in politics? Would you like to be part of a more humane, fraternal and caring government? Are you involved in any NGO, party or social cause? Do you feel represented by party leaders? If these questions trouble you and you feel called to change things, then this community is for you. Together we will write a manifesto that will be presented at the UN in September, during the Summit of the Future. The manifesto should be an expression of our worldview, the result of the days spent together during Genfest. Don’t be left out!
